DOMAIN REGISTRATION

Because many of our clients already own registered domains when they choose to host their web sites at 1-2-Wonder Hosting, domain registration (ownership) is not included in the 1-2-Wonder Hosting Package pricing. This way, our Package pricing is fair both to "other-host refugees" who don't need a domain, and to clients starting a web site from scratch.

If you do not currently own a domain, you'll need one for your web site before you can use your hosting account. If you purchase your domain at 1-2-Wonder Web Services (only $12.95 a year for .com, .net, .org and other domains), your domain will automatically be ready to use with your hosting account at 1-2-Wonder as soon as the DNS resolves. DNS resolution usually takes a couple of days.

Of course you can use any domain registrar you want; just make sure that your domain registrar allows you to login there and change Name Servers on your domain in order to make your domain point to your web hosting account on our servers. Not all registrars allow this, especially the ones that offer so-called "free domain registration" if you purchase their web hosting. These types of registrars frequently don't allow name server modification because they don't want you going elsewhere for web hosting.

If your domain is registered at another registrar, AND that registrar that allows you make name server changes, you will have to make these changes manually at your registrar. This is usually done by logging in at your registrar and looking for a Domain Management or Name Server Management area. When you find it, change the NS1 and NS2 information to the ones we provide you in your "Welcome" email when you order your web hosting account with us.
